Hi. I’m Beth. I’m excited to learn from you

I used to introduce myself when meeting students, I trained with, “Hi. I’m Beth. I’m excited to learn from you.” I personally found that this disarming statement set the tone to allow for a forum to exchange knowledge rather than a dictation coming from me. The constant feedback during training allowed me to adjust my teaching methods to best accommodate the learning style of the student.

Having the mindset that I am a career student allows me to ask questions (especially the difficult ones) without feeling intimidated of negative recourse. My notes from the first few months with Vedant Health are riddled with my shorthand of questions and the answers that were taken during training sessions. Progression can be seen with the outlines being abbreviated or skipped…and yes, I have seen that my trainers have patiently explained things to me more than once.

With every project that I touch with Vedant, I prepare to learn a new way to do something. Sure, the general workflows of a blood bank are similar, and the regulating requirements generally stay the same, but with the varieties of medical directors’ values; the eclectic group of facilities within the organization; the rapid innovated responses to national disasters; etc. bind together to present a new package with every project. With a personality ruled by logic, I am frequently stepping back to determine if what is seen during a project falls within the realms of regulation acceptability. My constant is knowing that I will learn new ways of how organizations accomplish these requirements.

The Vedant Health slogan is “Taking quality assurance to heart.” Our Team is in continual discussion to ensure that quality assurance for patient safety remains the priority for each project. We design our testing to reassure. We design our testing to question. We design our testing to flag. As the Software updates, we update. As regulations renew, we renew.
